What this ESP allows
Catalog shared by both pages. Each note carries its source, its date, and its confidence level.
On the right, what our emails say about it: matching, contradicted, never observed despite the volume, too few emails to conclude — or out of reach, when the capability can't be read from an email.
Tracking 6 not verified
Open pixel Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
When you send messages via AWeber, we will automatically embed an invisible 1x1 pixel in your message that, when enabled, would register as the subscriber opening the message.
Caveat Added automatically to every HTML message, including hand-written HTML; a plain-text message does not carry one. The page does not say it can be disabled.

Click tracking Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
Your links are processed and converted either to point to special addresses hosted on our web server or your website (if you have email web analytics enabled).
Caveat Click tracking is set message by message, and goes through clicks.aweber.com unless the brand installs AWeber's web analytics on its site ("Why do my links read clicks.aweber.com?").

Unsubscribe 1 partial · 1 not verified
List-Unsubscribe Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
AWeber automatically includes list-unsubscribe headers in every email you send, making it easy for subscribers to opt out directly from their inbox.
Caveat The header carries the unsubscribe URL; the page does not mention a mailto.

RFC 8058 — one click Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
AWeber includes both required headers in every email: List-Unsubscribe : Contains the unsubscribe URL List-Unsubscribe-Post : Enables one-click unsubscribe functionality
Caveat In every email. The page gives no date of introduction, and whether the button is displayed depends on the email client.

Preferences page Partially 1 note · 11/09/2026
Both of the URLs in this line lead to a "Subscription Options" page. There, a subscriber can change their email address and name, or unsubscribe from your list.
Caveat The options page, hosted by the vendor, lets subscribers change their address or name, update their custom fields if the brand allows it ("How can subscribers update their custom fields?"), or unsubscribe. It does not offer a choice of content.

Authentication 1 partial
DKIM Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
AWeber offers both automatic and manual methods to set up these authentication protocols. … If your domain is no longer authenticated at send time, your broadcast will be returned to Draft status and you will receive a notification to re-authenticate before sending.
Caveat The page gives neither the selector nor the record values. Above 400 subscribers, an authenticated custom domain is required.

SPF Not applicable 1 note · 11/09/2026
An SPF record is not required or needed for improving deliverability or guarding against spoofing, when sending from AWeber and many other email service providers (ESPs). … The SPF domain needs to align with the domain found in the return-path header which is normally a domain owned by the ESP.
Caveat The envelope carries a vendor domain: the brand's authentication relies on DKIM and DMARC. The page nonetheless gives an example include (v=spf1 mx include:send.aweber.com ~all), which it says will probably be ignored.
Do I need to update my domain's SPF record? The answer is No. · Help centre · last reviewed on 09/11/2026 · confidence medium
DMARC Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 4 of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
start with a policy of None, then move to Quarantine, and finally to a policy of Reject
Caveat The policy remains the brand's choice, and the vendor encourages raising it in stages. The record is set up alongside DKIM ("Authenticate Your Email Domain with DKIM and DMARC").

Sending domain Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails out of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
If your AWeber account has more than 400 subscribers, you are required to send emails from a custom domain email address (such as you@yourbusiness.com ) rather than a free email address like Gmail or Yahoo Mail.
Caveat Below 400 subscribers, a free address is still possible. Above that, a send from an unauthenticated address reverts to draft.

Tracking domain Partially 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails out of 4 emails from 1 brand, 1 months
With Click Tracking, in order to track the clicks, the subscriber's browser passes through a "tracking URL" at clicks.aweber.com and then immediately redirects to the URL you entered in your message. … you can either disable click tracking, or simply install email web analytics on your website.
Caveat None of the pages read describes a custom tracking domain to configure: links go through clicks.aweber.com, unless the brand installs AWeber's web analytics on its site, which is not available on the free plan. Nothing on the tracking image.

API Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Out of reach
AWeber has a full featured API, allowing users to easily connect their AWeber accounts with other sites and services online.
Caveat Another page shows that the API updates the tags and fields of an existing subscriber ("How can I update an existing subscriber via the API?"); nothing on tracking settings.

Granularity of settings Partially 1 note · 11/09/2026 Out of reach
This is because you have enabled "Click Tracking" for your message(s).
Caveat Only click tracking can be configured, message by message; the open-tracking pixel is added automatically to every HTML message. Nothing at account, list or contact level.

Postmetry corpus
Observed in our corpus
Recorded by our analyzers on messages received on addresses we control. Nothing from the reference sheet here, no access to the tool.
4 messages, 1 brand, below the threshold of 30 messages and 8 brands: no rate is published. A percentage on so few emails, or so few brands, describes what one brand configured, not what the sending platform does.
Period observed
10/2026 → 14/10/2026
1 months, 1 distinct brand.
Identification signals
What we recognized the sending platform by, message by message.

Limits of this analysis
It doesn't say what a brand has actually configured. A sending platform that allows turning off the pixel says nothing about which brands have done so — that's what a brand's report answers.
It doesn't rank. No score, no recommendation: capabilities don't carry the same weight depending on the use, and that weight isn't ours to set.
A “not checked” cell is not a “no”. It says nobody has gone to look yet, and nothing else.
The corpus does not establish a capability. A rate of observed pixels says what brands send, not what the tool can do.
