Postmetry corpus

What brands actually send

No message from this sending platform has arrived in the corpus yet. This is not a zero: it's an absence of measurement, and nothing is inferred from it.

Postmetry reference sheet

What this ESP allows

Catalog shared by both pages. Each note carries its source, its date, and its confidence level.

On the right, what our emails say about it: matching, contradicted, never observed despite the volume, too few emails to conclude — or out of reach, when the capability can't be read from an email.

Tracking 8 not verified

Open pixel Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

MailUp automatically inserts a invisible 1x1 pixel tracking image into HTML email messages to record open events. Open tracking is enabled by default for all email campaigns.

Caveat The passage attests to the pixel by default, but does not give the default source domain of the image in the absence of a custom CNAME.

Click tracking Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

Link tracking is enabled by default. MailUp rewrites hyperlinks in your message to redirect through MailUp tracking servers before sending recipients to the destination URL.

Caveat The text documents rewriting by default, without specifying whether click tracking can be disabled for transactional messages alone.

Tracking+opens+and+clicks · Help centre · last reviewed on 08/16/2026 · confidence medium

Exclusion by campaign Not verified À valider 1 note Out of reach
By default

In the Advanced Settings step of campaign configuration, you can disable open tracking for a specific email message.

Caveat Disabling per campaign is documented in the advanced settings, without specifying whether an account administration rule can lock the option.

Unsubscribe 4 not verified

List-Unsubscribe Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

MailUp automatically appends List-Unsubscribe headers containing a mailto address and an unsubscribe URL to all outgoing marketing emails.

Caveat Adding both the mailto and the URL is documented for marketing, but whether they can be removed on service streams is not detailed.

RFC 8058 — one click Not verified Pas encore documenté Non vérifié Too few emails
Preferences page Not verified À valider 1 note
By default

MailUp provides a customizable Preference Center where recipients can choose which list topics or message frequencies they wish to receive.

Caveat The preference centre is hosted on MailUp, but whether it can be hosted on a custom subdomain needs to be observed.

Preferences+Center · Help centre · last reviewed on 08/16/2026 · confidence medium

Transactional exceptions Not verified À valider 1 note
By default

Transactional emails sent via MailUp Transactional Engine or SMTP+ bypass marketing unsubscribe list checks and do not include promotional footer links.

Caveat The exemption from commercial unsubscribe lists is documented for the transactional engine, but whether open tracking is maintained remains to be checked.

Authentication 4 not verified

DKIM Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

To configure DKIM authentication in MailUp, add a CNAME record pointing to mailup._domainkey or assigned DKIM keys in your domain DNS.

Caveat The documentation mentions selectors of the form `mailup._domainkey`, but the exact value must be checked in the client console.

SPF Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

To authorize MailUp in your domain SPF record, add include:mailup.net to your TXT record.

Caveat The string `include:mailup.net` is explicitly provided for the TXT record.

DMARC Not verified Pas encore documenté Non vérifié Too few emails
Sending domain Yes 2 notes · 16/08/2026 Too few emails
By default

Configuring a Custom Sender Domain is required in MailUp to send emails using your own From domain address without system domain rewriting.

Caveat Configuring a custom sending domain is documented for sending with the brand's From address.

Custom+Domains · Help centre · last reviewed on 08/16/2026 · confidence medium

By default

Each MailUp account comes with authentication enabled by default (FCrDNS, SPF, DKIM)

Caveat By default, authentication applies to domains owned by MailUp, unrelated to the brand — sending without a custom domain is therefore the entry-level norm. A custom domain is optional ("Emails will appear to come directly from their domain") and mandatory for DMARC. esp_signatures data: by default, envelope and signature on MailUp domains.

Tracking domain Not verified À valider 1 note Too few emails
By default

Custom Tracking Domains replace default MailUp URLs in links and open tracking pixels using a CNAME record pointing to r.mailup.net.

Caveat The CNAME target `r.mailup.net` is documented for tracking customisation.

API Not verified À valider 1 note Out of reach
By default

MailUp REST API provides endpoints to manage Recipients, Fields, Groups, and Message sending options via /API/v1.1/Rest/Console/ .

Caveat The API covers the management of recipients and fields, but does not expose a method for disabling the pixel per recipient.

mailupapi · API documentation · last reviewed on 08/16/2026 · confidence high

Consent history Not verified À valider 1 note Out of reach
By default

MailUp stores the opt-in timestamp, source form, and IP address for subscribed contacts.

Caveat Recording of the initial collection is documented, without supporting a full history of subsequent changes.

Granularity of settings Not verified À valider 1 note Out of reach
By default

Tracking settings chosen during message creation override default account tracking preferences.

Caveat The precedence of the message setting over the account's default configuration is documented.

Limits of this analysis

It doesn't say what a brand has actually configured. A sending platform that allows turning off the pixel says nothing about which brands have done so — that's what a brand's report answers.

It doesn't rank. No score, no recommendation: capabilities don't carry the same weight depending on the use, and that weight isn't ours to set.

A “not checked” cell is not a “no”. It says nobody has gone to look yet, and nothing else.

The corpus does not establish a capability. A rate of observed pixels says what brands send, not what the tool can do.

The sending platform is read from the headers, not from a claim. The report names it, and says where to fix the findings with that vendor.
