Adobe CampaignOpen-tracking pixel, click tracking and unsubscribe

Adobe Campaign can insert an open-tracking pixel, and lets you remove it campaign by campaign. In our corpus, 192 of the 206 emails sent through Adobe Campaign, by 22 brands, loaded an open-tracking pixel (93%).

Adobe's cross-channel campaign management platform, which grew out of Neolane, a Paris-based vendor acquired in 2013. Adobe documents Momentum, SparkPost's commercial sending server, as the server that delivers its messages.

What this ESP allows

Catalog shared by both pages. Each note carries its source, its date, and its confidence level.

On the right, what our emails say about it: matching, contradicted, never observed despite the volume, too few emails to conclude — or out of reach, when the capability can't be read from an email.

Tracking 5 not verified

Controls whether the open-tracking pixel is included in the email. This option is enabled

Caveat "enabled by default", Email opens toggle per message. The passage says the option controls the inclusion of the pixel in the email — when disabled, the pixel is not inserted for that delivery (a removal model, not server-side filtering). Vendor warning: building blocks, never a guarantee of compliance.

Exclusion by campaign Yes 1 note · 23/08/2026 Out of reach

To disable open tracking for a specific email, uncheck the Email opens option when creating your message.

Caveat Per message, within a journey or a campaign. The vendor explicitly recommends reviewing all active journeys and campaigns before the date of application — message-level granularity is also an operational burden for the client.

Exclusion by contact Non vérifié Pas encore documenté Non vérifié Out of reach
Consent — absence means no pixel Not verified À valider 1 note Out of reach
By default

the value for the consent field is empty and treated as consent to receive

Caveat AJO consent is an Experience Platform schema: an empty default means consent to receive, values can be changed at onboarding, and consent policies can override the logic. Nothing natively links this field to the pixel — this is the "framework to implement" on the map: the pieces exist (field, policies, per-message toggles, suppression), but assembling consent→pixel falls to the client.

SPF and DKIM records are prerequisites for creating a DMARC record

Caveat Self-service DMARC in the Control Panel, with rare safeguards: the policy cannot be downgraded to "none", the percentage is forced to 100, subdomains delegated by CNAME inherit from the parent, and deletion is blocked while a BIMI record exists. The most prescriptive tool on DMARC among those we reference.

Additional subdomains to host mirror, resource, tracking pages and domain key

Caveat Tracking and mirror-page subdomains are created automatically under the brand's delegated subdomain — tracking never names Adobe. Recognition in our corpus: by structure (tracking under the sending domain, pattern data.email.<brand>) rather than by vendor domain.

Limits of this analysis

It doesn't say what a brand has actually configured. A sending platform that allows turning off the pixel says nothing about which brands have done so — that's what a brand's report answers.

It doesn't rank. No score, no recommendation: capabilities don't carry the same weight depending on the use, and that weight isn't ours to set.

A “not checked” cell is not a “no”. It says nobody has gone to look yet, and nothing else.

The corpus does not establish a capability. A rate of observed pixels says what brands send, not what the tool can do.

Does Adobe Campaign rewrite links for click tracking?

Yes: Adobe Campaign rewrites the links in its emails to count clicks.

Do your emails go through Adobe Campaign?

The sending platform is read from the headers, not from a claim. The report names it, and says where to fix the findings with that vendor.
