All email tracking is enabled by default in MailerLite. … Opens tracking - Tracks opens using an invisible beacon embedded in your campaign.

Caveat Active by default, across the whole account. The page does not say which domain serves the image without domain alignment. Other vendor pages link opens to each subscriber ("Subscriber activity" tab in reports) and record their IP address on the first open ("How to check opens by location").

Click tracking Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 71 of 72 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

Every link in a MailerLite campaign includes unique tracking information tied to the original subscriber.

Caveat By default, links go through the vendor's domains — mlsend, mlsend2, mlflow ("What is mlsend?"). None of the pages read documents a setting that switches this tracking off: switching off open tracking leaves it in place ("Regular clicks will still be tracked and reported").

Authentication nothing to report

DKIM Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 73 of 73 emails from 2 brands, 3 months
By default

Add the DKIM as a CNAME record, the SPF as a TXT record, and a Domain verification as a TXT record.

Caveat Neither the selector nor the CNAME target appears on the page: the values are shown in the account. It does not say whether the signature carries the brand's domain. Authentication is required as soon as a custom domain is used for sending, except during the 14-day trial of a new account.

Now, you want to authenticate your domain with MailerLite, so you have to add the second SPF record to your DNS page. v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.mlsend.com ~all

Caveat The include is given in an example of merging with an Outlook record; the authentication page refers to the values shown in the account.

DMARC Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails seen on 72 of 73 emails from 2 brands, 3 months
By default

Domain alignment (also called identifier alignment) is a process that checks if an email’s sending domain in the 'From' field matches the authenticated domain, ensuring the email is genuinely from the sender it claims to be from.

Caveat Alignment is optional ("not mandatory, but it is highly recommended") and is set up on a dedicated subdomain. The DMARC policy is left to the brand: the vendor calls it essential from around 5,000 sends and recommends a specialist provider ("The basics of DMARC").

Sending domain Yes 1 note · 11/09/2026 Too few emails out of 73 emails from 2 brands, 3 months
By default

If you already have a paid or custom domain, we won't make any changes to your "From" address when you send emails through MailerLite.

Caveat Without a custom domain, the vendor rewrites the sender address onto its own subdomain (john.yahoo.com@send.mailerlite.eu); this fallback does not exist above 50,000 subscribers, where an authenticated domain is required.

Caveat Optional. Set up through three records, A, MX and TXT, on a dedicated subdomain, not through a CNAME. Without it, links go through the vendor's domains ("What is mlsend?"). The page cites tracking links and links placed on images, not the open-tracking image.

Postmetry corpus

Observed in our corpus

Recorded by our analyzers on messages received on addresses we control. Nothing from the reference sheet here, no access to the tool.

73 messages, 2 brands, below the threshold of 30 messages and 8 brands: no rate is published. A percentage on so few emails, or so few brands, describes what one brand configured, not what the sending platform does.

Period observed

08/2026 → 30/10/2026

3 months, 2 distinct brands.

Limits of this analysis

It doesn't say what a brand has actually configured. A sending platform that allows turning off the pixel says nothing about which brands have done so — that's what a brand's report answers.

It doesn't rank. No score, no recommendation: capabilities don't carry the same weight depending on the use, and that weight isn't ours to set.

A “not checked” cell is not a “no”. It says nobody has gone to look yet, and nothing else.

The corpus does not establish a capability. A rate of observed pixels says what brands send, not what the tool can do.
