Compare

Belgian suite of business applications in which email marketing is just one module among others: campaigns go out from the company's Odoo database. They are sent through Odoo's own server or through an SMTP server the company configures — the documentation names Mailgun, SendGrid or Mailjet.

What this ESP allows

Catalog shared by both pages. Each note carries its source, its date, and its confidence level.

On the right, what our emails say about it: matching, contradicted, never observed despite the volume, too few emails to conclude — or out of reach, when the capability can't be read from an email.

Open pixel Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026 Too few emails seen on 12 of 12 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

Opened (%) : percentage of sent emails that have been opened by the recipients.

Caveat The page counts opens without naming the image that measures them, or saying whether tracking can be switched off: the capability is inferred from the statistic.

Clicked (%) : percentage of sent emails that have been clicked by the recipients.

Caveat The page counts clicks without saying how links are rewritten, nor at what level rewriting can be switched off.

Preferences page Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026
By default

If a recipient clicks the Unsubscribe link in a mailing, Odoo instantly unsubscribes them from the mailing list, presents them with a Mailing Subscriptions page where they can directly manage their subscriptions

Caveat Per list: a list appears there only if "Show In Preferences" is ticked (Mailing lists page). The page is served by the brand's Odoo database.

Transactional exceptions Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026
By default

Blacklisted emails are excluded from all marketing mailings, however, these emails can still receive transactional emails, such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, etc.

Caveat The page does not say whether these sends carry an unsubscribe link, nor whether they remain tracked.

Authentication 1 not verified

DKIM Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026 Too few emails seen on 12 of 12 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

Enabling DKIM is required when sending emails from a custom domain using the Odoo email server.

Caveat Signature on the brand's domain, through a CNAME odoo._domainkey pointing to odoo._domainkey.odoo.com: selector "odoo". Databases that remain on their odoo.com subdomain are signed automatically.

SPF Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026 Too few emails seen on 12 of 12 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

If the TXT record is v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all, edit it to add include:_spf.odoo.com

Caveat When sending goes through Odoo's server from a custom domain. A third-party SMTP server requires its own records.

DMARC Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026 Too few emails seen on 12 of 12 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

For the DMARC to pass, the DKIM or SPF check needs to pass and the domains must be in alignment. If the hosting type is Odoo Online, DKIM configuration on the sending domain is required to pass the DMARC.

Caveat No recommended policy: the page refers to DMARC.org and leaves the choice to the brand.

Sending domain Yes 1 note · 06/10/2026 Too few emails out of 12 emails from 1 brand, 3 months
By default

If choosing to use a custom domain instead, configuring SPF and DKIM records correctly is essential to prevent emails from being quarantined as spam or not being delivered to recipients.

Caveat Optional: by default, a database sends from its subdomain (@company-name.odoo.com), already authenticated. A third-party SMTP server requires a custom domain.

Odoo is usually extended internally via modules, but many of its features and all of its data are also available externally for analysis or integration with various other softwares.

Caveat Reserved for Custom plans: "Access to data via the external API is only available on Custom Odoo pricing plans." No tracking setting to expose there.

Postmetry corpus

Observed in our corpus

Recorded by our analyzers on messages received on addresses we control. Nothing from the reference sheet here, no access to the tool.

12 messages, 1 brand, below the threshold of 30 messages and 8 brands: no rate is published. A percentage on so few emails, or so few brands, describes what one brand configured, not what the sending platform does.

Period observed

08/2026 → 20/10/2026

3 months, 1 distinct brand.

Identification signals

What we recognized the sending platform by, message by message.

  • X-Odoo-Objects 100 %

Limits of this analysis

It doesn't say what a brand has actually configured. A sending platform that allows turning off the pixel says nothing about which brands have done so — that's what a brand's report answers.

It doesn't rank. No score, no recommendation: capabilities don't carry the same weight depending on the use, and that weight isn't ours to set.

A “not checked” cell is not a “no”. It says nobody has gone to look yet, and nothing else.

The corpus does not establish a capability. A rate of observed pixels says what brands send, not what the tool can do.

Frequently asked questions

Does Odoo rewrite links for click tracking?

Yes: Odoo rewrites the links in its emails to count clicks.

Do your emails go through Odoo?

The sending platform is read from the headers, not from a claim. The report names it, and says where to fix the findings with that vendor.
